Prometheus on CloudSonic

Collect metrics from every layer of your CloudSonic server and make them queryable for alerting and dashboards

TL;DR Prometheus

Prometheus exporters for node, nginx, PHP-FPM, Redis, and MySQL run on every CloudSonic server, all bound to localhost and accessible securely via Tailscale.

Prometheus is an open source monitoring and alerting toolkit that collects and stores metrics as time-series data from servers and applications. Exporters for Node Exporter, Nginx, PHP-FPM, Redis, MySQL, and PostgreSQL run on every CloudSonic server, all bound to localhost and accessible only via Tailscale. Connect Grafana to your Prometheus instance over Tailscale and you have a complete observability stack without exposing a single monitoring port to the public internet.

Prerequisites

Prometheus for Metrics Collection on CloudSonic

Prometheus on CloudSonic scrapes exporters for Node Exporter, Nginx, PHP-FPM, Redis, MySQL, and PostgreSQL on a regular interval, all bound to localhost and accessible only via Tailscale so no monitoring port is ever exposed to the public internet. The collected metrics are stored as time-series data and made available for querying and visualisation in Grafana dashboards connected over your private Tailscale network. This gives you a complete observability stack covering every layer of your CloudSonic server from hardware metrics to application-level performance without any public exposure.
